Mum & Gypsy has continued its collaborative work with novelist and poet Mieko Kawakami in 2013, 2014, and 2018. This December, the project will be revived for the first time in seven years.

Fujita reinterprets “Wisteria” first published as a short story in March 2018, through a theatrical lens, creating both the stage adaptation and direction. Please look forward to experiencing how the richly textured language of the novel transforms into sound imbued with real, living heat through the voice and body of Izumi Aoyagi.
