2025年5月、『Chair／IL POSTO』の韓国・釜山での公演が決定しました。
本作は、マームとジプシーの国際共同製作作品・第二弾であり、イタリアの7つの劇場やフェスティバルが連携して展開するクリエイティブ・プロジェクト「CRISOL」の一環として始動しました。2024年夏、イタリアでのオーディションを経て選ばれたメンバーが来日し、藤田貴大のもとで約2ヶ月間にわたりリハーサルを行いました。同年9月には豊岡演劇祭での初演を迎え、今年10月にはイタリア各地での公演を予定しています。

作品内容
「Chair／IL POSTO」では2023年11月、藤田がイタリアのトスカーナ地方にある町サンセポルクロに2週間ほど滞在した際に見た風景、訪れた場所、自身が体感した出来事を軸に、とある町にやってくる旅行者たちを描いています。出演者はイタリア語と日本語、それぞれの母国語を用いて、互いの言語を往復させながら物語を進めていきます。何気ない人々の会話、その町に流れるいつも通りの時間を紡いでいくなかで、登場人物たちはその土地で実際に起きた事件や痛ましい出来事を次第に知っていきます。

Chair / IL POSTO is the second international co-production by mum & gypsy, launched as part of CRISOL, a creative project jointly developed by seven theaters and festivals across Italy.
In the summer of 2023, following an audition held in Italy, selected performers traveled to Japan and spent about two months in rehearsal under the direction of Takahiro Fujita. The production had its world premiere at the Toyooka Theater Festival in September of the same year.
The performance is now scheduled to be presented in Busan, South Korea, in May 2024, followed by a tour across several cities in Italy in October.
The origin of the piece lies in Fujita’s two-week stay in Sansepolcro, a town in the Tuscany region of Italy, in November 2023. Inspired by the scenery he encountered, the places he visited, and the experiences he had, Fujita shaped a story about travelers arriving in a small town.
The performance unfolds in both Italian and Japanese, with the actors speaking in their native languages, moving fluidly between the two and occasionally translating for each other. As the story progresses through ordinary, everyday conversations and the gentle passage of time in the town, the characters gradually come to learn about tragic incidents that once occurred there.
